A fun and informative day gaining knowledge of a new skill to help your horses' flexibility and suppleness.
It will be a practical day learning the importance of Feel and Palpation. We will be using other massage techniques to guide your hands for massage,
plus other useful techniques including Pilates stretches for your horse.

Massage has many benefits, it can be used as a maintenance massage for flexibility, suppleness and comfort which promotes physical and mental relaxation and reduces tension and stiffness throughout the body.

Basic In hand Pole Work
The Powerful Tool to Boost Your Horses Health and Wellbeing

£25 per horse / person minimum of 2 horses

Fun and Engaging ground pole exercises for horses can improve fitness, coordination balance, while also building a stronger partnership between horse and handler or rider.
​
Rehabilitation pole exercises for horses can improve core strength, balance and proprioception, aiding in recovery from injuries or improving overall fitness, with exercises like walking over poles, trotting through patterns and building up to cantering over poles.
​
Starting with in hand ground poles builds confidence for you and your horse.
Sometimes Less is More if you are working with a rehabilitation program.
​
Building up your work to raised poles which increases the difficulty for the horse by having to lift more through the Core muscles and Thoracic sling muscles , therefore engaging the hind end to work more effectively.
​
For maximum benefit pole work should be practiced regularly
